NPR is my go-to news source, the news is pertinent, the delivery crisp and informative. The jarring, invasive and annoying advertising causes me to press the stop icon. So, I get 2 minutes of really excellent news reports.

The news is excellent, but the ads are not.

A great way to start the day informed of the top news stories and current events, delivered in a non-dramatic and non-sensationalized way in under five minutes. Great for an on the go update, and allows the listener to decide if there’s an issue they’d like to learn more about.

As expected, excellent core coverage but much too short a podcast to properly cover national & international news. Hence, the rating.

Though the production values were good, the overall NPR News podcast was paltry. It was less than expected and needed. Especially in these dynamic times when more facts, context, and truly substantive information is critical. COME ON! At least 30 minutes of hard news --- no fluff or filler.
