It is amazing what they are finding at the City of David, but it amazes me more that I don’t think it is widely known. This book is a great read.

This book is a genuinely fascinating history of these archeological finds, but more importantly, it was an enlightening and often troubling account of the difficulties standing in the way of peace in Israel and the wider Middle East. When one side of a conflict attempts to erase every trace of thousands of years of their opponent’s history, THAT is the true genocidal action, no matter what the New York Times tries to feed you.
