Love Lisa Kleypas books...great story lines, great romance and humor. Looking forward to more of this series!

Good parts but unsatisfying overall.

I chose this book because I am a fan of some of the author’s other books. This one was not as good as others. It had a heavier subject when the missing child was involved.
The best part of this story was the lead male. He was honorable, persistent, compassionate, intelligent, handsome and successful. Even though I saw the appeal of the lead female character, I found it unrealistic how devoted he was to her while she was reckless. I felt like he was giving much more to the relationship then she was and it didn’t feel good to me. I can’t say that I would recommend this book.
The narrator was excellent.

Great story

I really like the plot and the depth of the characters. The story kinds of starts to end to early, not too long after the leading character end up together. From then on its all closure.

Well done

Rosalyn Landor did an excellent job on this one. I’ve commented on other stories where her male characters sounded insipid and gave me an icky feeling rather than the description given by the author. She did a great job on this one.

The story was another great Lisa Kleypas work for this genre and the character arch for both leads was believable and fulfilling.

Favorite

This book is a favorite of mine. Lily is so much fun and she’s definitely met her match in Alex. This story brought up so many emotions and I love how they gradually fell in love. There was never a dull moment with these two. I was giggling at their antics and reactions to the antics. The narrator is magnificent! The writing is brilliant and I will listen to this story over and over again in the future.

One of my favorites

I love these characters Alex, Lily,Derek. Lisa Kleypas is one of my favorite writers. I have reread her stories many times. And this story and these characters are the most engaging. They never get old. I enjoyed listening to the reader.

Best Lisa book yet

Strong but feminine heroine. Super hot but not superfluous scenes. Witty, funny, tear jerking at times. Hard to put down

Well developed story

Great book, a pleasure to listen to However, the name of the main male charter should be correctly set out in the short summary. It was confusing for a while.

Realistic emotional situations that causes heart to ache. The story could have been stretched out by a couple of more chapters.

Fun easy entertainment

It’s a great little story to entertain. The heroine is a little bit different than in most historical romance novels and I like her spunk and the way Lisa let her roam the circles.
Some good conversations between hero and heroine. I think there could have been some more conversations and back stories about our hero but it’s still an entertaining read.
I like RL reading the books. I read some reviews saying she is to old or doesn’t have enough voices but whole she might not be the very best reader on many samples and books I have heard way worse and I find she has a great reading voice and timing!
