Good foundation

Written for the modern couple. If you are looking for a place to start, this is a good one.

Great intro into DD

Very comprehensive using stories to cover the key aspects of domestic discipline. I would recommend this book to any couple starting out with the practice.

Excellent, and not for laughs

I initially thought it might be a humorous sex guide, but on the contrary the authors start by saying they are a married couple of therapists, who seriously state that disciplinary spanking can give a woman what she needs emotionally, and it's not a form of dominating but an "empowering power dynamics".
They insist on the "maintenance spanking", which can be daily or weekly, in addition to the punitive one, which might be preceded by the corrective one in public. Fascinating. I can totally see how it would work, especially with women who engage in "bratting" behaviour to encourage a strong man's intervention.


They insist that "disciplinary spanking is not sexual", and not BDSM foreplay; but it is typically followed by a spontaneous bj as a sign of submission and gratitude; and that it brings a higher sense of intimacy and passionate intercourse. So it's hardly nonsexual.

They give a couple of exemples if couples where they introduced regular spanking after the wife's infidelity, thus saving the marriage!
Intriguing. I can imagine that it would work, based on my extensive knowledge of relationships.

Recommended. Even more so, to women who find the idea "abusive", and to men who are afraid of "hurting" women when they ask for it.
