The story was very fun, The relationship between the MC and his companion remind me a lot of Venom and Eddie Brock from the Marvel movies.

if there is anything negative to say (besides I'm sad it's over and we didn't get to hear more stories from auxiliary characters) it's that the MC is a 100% Go-Go-Go! character. I don't mind this but i know I've heard similar complaints about characters like this before. He reminds me a lot of Lindon from Cradle.

Basically Perfect

This series has an epic storyline. If a little odd, i'm used to powers from an eldridge, abominations, revolving around devouring their opponents.
I was expecting more shadows coming to life and/or tendrils coming out and grabbing their opponents to consume them through a dark void on the ground or wall.

My only real pet peeve with this story is that the narrator uses different voices for the different characters, but mixes them up frequently.

Epic storyline if a little odd.

enjoyed the story but the reader's accents were all over the place and I found it hard to figure out who was speaking. only the author saved the reader by elaborating. So kudos to the author for saving the e-book.

a fun set of books

First, I did like it despite the mediocre review. I liked the earlier books more than the later because he was training and growing and learning. It was fun to watch the growth. It technically classified as litrpg because there were numbers, but I had NO idea what they meant. They just kind of went up and down at free random and I think it detracted from the whole thing.

By the end, it was just non-stop fighting just to fight. Like, "I'm in trouble! I gotta fight!" and then a 10 minute fight. When it was done, "that was close! we need to train more. anyone want to fight me for practice?" and then everyone would have to fight again for 20 minutes. It became really frustrating and I would just zone out.

That said, when they were actually hitting plot points, I liked it pretty well. And I think it ended in a pretty good place.

Unfortunately, the narrator had the same voice for 4 main male characters... and would sometimes add that to a female character if they are all talking together. Almost like he would forget who had a different voice. There would be variance at times, but then he would put that variance on all of them and so it was never enough for me to understand immediately who was speaking. Definitely took away from the whole.

If you're looking to kill some time, pick it up. If you want an amazing experience, look elsewhere.

Too much fighting, not enough character voices, still liked it.
