About this listen

ECPA BESTSELLER • Discover a movement of Christian young people who are rebelling against the low expectations of their culture by choosing to “do hard things” for the glory of God.

Foreword by Chuck Norris • “One of the most life-changing, family-changing, church-changing, and culture-changing books of this generation.”—Randy Alcorn, bestselling author of
Heaven

Combating the idea of adolescence as a vacation from responsibility, Alex and Brett Harris weave together biblical insights, history, and modern examples to redefine the teen years as the launching pad of life and map a clear trajectory for long-term fulfillment and eternal impact.

Written by teens for teens, Do Hard Things is packed with humorous personal anecdotes, practical examples, and stories of real-life rebelutionaries in action. This rallying cry from the heart of revolution already in progress challenges you to lay claim to a brighter future, starting today. Now featuring a conversation guide, 100 real-life examples of hard things tackled by other young people, and stories of young men and women who have taken the book’s charge to heart, Do Hard Things will inspire a new generation of rebelutionaries.

Critic reviews

"Alex and Brett Harris are two extraordinary young men with a revolutionary message. In a culture where laziness and ease is often the order of the day for teenagers, Do Hard Things presents a radical and provocative alternative. I heartily recommend this book." (R. Albert Mohler, Jr., president, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary)

I’m not a teenager but I WISH someone would have put this I front of me when I was a teenager. This book is just what this world, this generation needs to wake up and do hard things - from the little everyday hard things to the big, collaborative hard things. All the testimonies in the book go to show that with God all things (even hard things) are possible! Thank you for writing this book and sharing it with us. If there is just one book to put in front of yourself, your teen, or anyone, it is this one!

This book is a great starting point for someone (not only teens) to help them turn their life into a positive example and a way to overcome the ingrained stereotypes that we get trapped in. It is also a great tool for someone to use when trying to show teens their potential!

A great connection of life, self, and religion. Many examples of how decisions to do hard things result in greater outcomes then we could ever expect. The expectations of young people have diminished and this shows that when they have self expectations how they can change the world around them and possibly have a bigger impact to society. Great read for teens and parents before or during your child’s teenage years (or I should say young adult years). Highly recommend!

Gamechanger for Teens!
