If you were born many moons ago, and still have 20 years left to work/live, I suggest you also read/listen to this book.

Banking is the constant in all things finance

I read this book in 2013 and it intrigued me enough to go down the rabbit hole of understanding how banking has become one of the most profitable businesses in the world. While we cannot conjure money out of thin air like central banking systems can, we do have the ability to limit our exposure to outside creditors by understanding the principles taught in this book. I came at this idea from a purely economic basis, but have since understood how this can help create a multi generational financing tool that gets better with each successive generation no matter what.

I got the book on Audible and it has opened my mind. But one thing I think would benefit is having the illustrations available. I'm a visual learner so they would help.
