My most favorite book for over 20 years.

I truly adore this book series. I listen to the series at least twice a year. Megan Follows reading makes it all the more special.

Missing full chapters

Truly well read by Megan Follows however there are several chapters missing the full story.

I Wish This was Unabridged...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. It was almost like one of those autobiography read by that person. I just wish it had been the complete book. Unfortunately so much of the story is left out in this edition.

Would you ever listen to anything by L. M. Montgomery again?

Yes I have all of the Anne and Avonlea books that are available already.

What does Megan Follows bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Megan Follows (who played Anne in the Sullivan Entertainment movies) reading Anne of Green Gables was like Anne herself telling the story.

All. I grew up on the mini-series, so she will always be AnnE to me.

The recording is a wee bit fast, but I just slow down the playback speed to compensate. I'm usually not a fan of abridged versions, especially of beloved books, but this was worth the credit. I look forward to acquiring the next two books in the series narrated by Ms. Follows.

I love Megan Follows! she did an amazing job!

I'm a huge fan of Montgomery. I also love the movie Anne of Green Gables movie from the 80's, that starred Megan Follows. Listening to her read the book and knowing the movie so well, made the movie and book converse together in a magical way.

Amazing narrator, but unfortunately abridged.

I love this book and Megan Follows’ narration. I have the same version on CD, but it’s unabridged, and I really wish audible had that. The story is great, and is one of my favorites, but I would recommend getting an unabridged audiobook if you want the full experience.

Megan is the best Anne

I love this story and the movie with Megan Follows. The quality isn't perfect but her voice and acting is worth it! She is Anne to me. Loved it and listened to it so quickly. easy to keep listening.
